Withstanding Crisis with Healthy Cashflow

Withstanding Crisis with Healthy Cashflow

At times, we would notice a consistent increase in the stock prices of certain listed companies over time, irregardless of the Straits Times Index’s (STI’s) performance. These companies do not give a high dividend yield and it keeps us wondering on the reason for the price increase. Often, such price increases are due to the healthy cashflow of the companies.

Cashflow is the bloodline of a company. Many analysts and investors focused too much on the profitability ratios that they neglect the cashflow generation of listed companies. Companies with strong cashflow can withstand crisis much better as they are more able to pay off their debts, loan interests and creditors during crisis period. Therefore, the risks of investing in companies with strong cashflow will be much lower than those of weaker cashflow.

Join us on 11th Jul 2015 to learn the methods to read the cashflow statements in ShareInvestor WebPro. We will also share with you the types of businesses that generate good cashflow for both the companies as well as the investors.
