Analysing the Market Trends

Analysing the Market Trends

Global markets have been enjoying a good run for the past few years with the major indices, such as the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500, breaking record highs. The Straits Times Index (STI) is no exception. It has rallied and remained above 3400 points since January 2015. Are investors being too complacent and have overlooked the risks of chasing the shares to new highs? Where are the trading opportunities in the current market environment?

The key to investment outperformance is to identify quality stocks with sound business model and financials, valid catalysts and a low risk entry that will give the investor a good margin of safety. In this seminar, we will share with you our views of the local stock market and how we can identify exciting trading and investment opportunities in Singapore and the region with ShareInvestor Station. We will also be sharing the mechanics of Contracts for Difference (CFDs) and how you can be qualified to trade them.

Learning Points:

  • Overview of the local stock market
  • Key risks to look out for
  • How to identify stocks with good potential and low risk entry points
  • Future trend of the SGX listed stocks
  • Case-studies on the performance of individual companies
  • Introduction to Contract for Difference (CFDs)
