Company Background

The Company was incorporated in Singapore on 31 March 1976. It was converted to a public company on 30 September 1978 and its shares were listed on the Stock Exchange of Singapore Limited (now known as Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited) on 14 November 1978. The principal activity of the Company is that of an investment holding company. The core business of the Group comprises property development, property investment, property management and property-related activities.The Group is currently undertaking various projects in its embedded markets of Singapore, China, Malaysia and Vietnam, which comprise residential, office, hospitality, commercial and retail facilities.GuocoLand's major shareholder is Guoco Group Limited ("Guoco") which is listed on The Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Guoco Group Limited is, in turn, a member of the Hong Leong Group Malaysia, a leading conglomerate based in Malaysia with diversified businesses in property development and investment, financial services, manufacturing and distribution and hospitality and leisure.
